What Toyotas does the COBB Accessport V3 fit?
The COBB Accessport V3 fits the newest-generation Toyota Tacoma, 4Runner, and Land Cruiser. Choose your specific model and configuration at checkout.
How much power do the off-the-shelf (OTS) maps add?
The included off-the-shelf maps deliver reliable gains across the RPM range, with options like Stage 0 and Performance Tow. Custom OTT tuning unlocks more, especially when paired with supporting mods like intake, exhaust, and intercooler upgrades.
Does the Accessport tune the transmission (TCM) as well as the ECU?
Yes. Unlike basic tuners, the Accessport controls both the ECU and TCM, giving you better shift logic, more consistent gear selection, higher torque limits where appropriate, and less gear hunting. TCM options include Simulated Stock, OEM+, and Sport.
Does it require premium fuel?
Maps are built for specific fuel grades, and custom tunes can be optimized for the fuel you run. Always use the fuel grade your selected map calls for.
Install, ownership & warranty
How hard is the COBB Accessport V3 to install?
It's plug-and-play through the OBD-II port with on-screen prompts and no permanent modifications. Important: never flash it over non-OEM or non-COBB software, as that can cause ECU/TCU failure.
Can I use one Accessport on multiple vehicles?
No. Once installed, the Accessport is "married" to that VIN and can't be used on another vehicle until you uninstall it (which returns the vehicle to stock and "unmarries" it). COBB can re-license it to a different platform for about 70% of a new unit, or re-flash an unmarried unit for around $150.
Does tuning void my Toyota factory warranty?
The Accessport carries a 12-month limited warranty plus a 30-day satisfaction guarantee on units bought directly from COBB. Tuning may affect portions of your factory warranty only if a failure is tied to the modification, which the dealer has to prove.
Can I return my vehicle to stock?
Yes. The Accessport stores your factory calibration, so you can uninstall the tune and return your Toyota to stock at any time.
